Watch what interests you. The language will follow
The original subtitles and their translation — two lines right over the video. Estonian ERR Jupiter, Italian RaiPlay, Spanish RTVE, Portuguese RTP, German ARD and ZDF: watch series, films and news the way they are watched at home.
Subtitle translation right in the player
You hear real speech — its pace, its intonation, its jokes — while the translation sits alongside and lifts the barrier at once. With the language comes what no textbook holds: humour, habits, everyday detail.
Translation appears within seconds
The extension translates the whole episode's subtitles while the intro plays. The result is stored on your computer: on a repeat viewing the text shows up at once.
Six European broadcasters, five original languages
Estonian on ERR Jupiter, Italian on RaiPlay, Spanish on RTVE, Portuguese on RTP, German on ARD and ZDF — series, documentaries and news exactly as they go out at home. Translated into 22 European languages.
Adapts to your level of the language
Following the language by ear — keep both lines and check the translation only where you stumble. Need the translation alone — the original line can be switched off. Translation language, font size and timing are all set in the extension settings.

How subtitle translation works
-
1
Install the extension
Choose the extension for your sites — Jupiter, RaiPlay, RTVE & RTP or ARD & ZDF — and install it.
-
2
Open a video
Go to a supported site and start a video.
-
3
Watch
No need to turn on subtitles in the player — the extension finds them on its own.
-
4
Read the original and the translation
In a few seconds, two lines appear over the video: the original on top, the translation below.
Translation language, display mode, size, and sync can all be changed in the extension's settings.
Translated subtitles are saved on your computer — the translation appears instantly the next time you watch.
Frequently asked questions
Which sites does it work on?
Watching ERR Jupiter, RaiPlay, RTVE, RTP, ARD Mediathek or ZDF? You're in the right place: the first four sites are covered by "Dual Subtitles: Jupiter, RaiPlay, RTVE & RTP", ARD and ZDF by "Dual Subtitles for German TV: ARD & ZDF". Not sure which one is yours — pick your site above and we will tell you.
Is it free?
The first three episodes are on us, free. If you like it, you can subscribe after that. And rewatching episodes you've already translated is unlimited — those never count against you.
Does it work in Firefox too?
Yes. Both extensions are available for Chrome (and so Edge, Opera, Arc) and for Firefox.
Which languages can I translate into?
Plenty to choose from: Jupiter, RaiPlay, RTVE and RTP translate into 22 languages, ARD and ZDF into 21. The full list, and which one is picked by default, is in the extension's settings.
Does it recognize speech?
No, it doesn't listen to the audio — it translates the subtitles the site itself publishes. If a video has none, sadly there's nothing to translate.
If I rewatch an episode, do I have to wait for the translation again?
No — the translation stays on your computer, so it's all there instantly when you rewatch, no waiting.
